- Hi, you're a little confused. RS-232 has not existed for YEARS.
-
- RS = Recommended Standard .. fuck, it hasn't been "experimental" in God-knows
- how long .. EIA-232 *IS* RS-232 ...
-
- Sooo .. what you think is an "RS-232" serial port, has been and is an EIA-232
- serial port.

- No .. no. an ISDN TA with a serial interface LOOKS like a very very fast MODEM
- to your Amiga. You can use ANY standard SANA-II serial port driver, like
- rhCSLIP.device, or PPP.device ... pretend you have a modem, and eeeeeverything
- will be ok.

- If you are going to be using a 1B+d link, I would say YES, buy a SERIAL CARD,
- lock it at 115,200 and use it for your ISDN link. Do not use the internal
- serial port. It will WORK, but you are simply cheating YOURSELF out of speed.
-
- If your TA can push through 128k PLUS 4:1 data compression (it can) and your
- Amiga is moving along at 38.4k with the internal port, WHAT is the point of
- having ISDN?
-
- If you are /serious/ about your ISDN link, I wholeheartedly suggest that you
- buy an Ethernet card to drive your TA. You will NEVER regret spending the
- money when you see the raw SPEED you will get.

-
- AmiTCP, which comes with rhCSLIP.device in the first place, alternatively
- PPP.device, or Ethernet; a used card can be had for $250US (oh, sorry. I
- don't KNOW for a fact that the ISDN TA you own supports Ethernet. If it DOES
- then you are set up for whichever way you want to go.)
